The purpose of this web site is to provide you with information about DACS (the Distributed Access Control System), which is a product of Distributed Systems Software, Inc. (DSS), and other information. This page summarizes the privacy policy and practices on this web site.

DSS employs software to automatically collect, store, and monitor network traffic sent to it, and to identify unauthorized attempts to replace or change information, or otherwise cause damage. This software logs basic computer information, navigation, and click-stream data of computers that contact our servers. DSS makes no attempt to link this information to the identity of individuals visiting our site unless an attempt to damage the site is detected. We do not sell, rent, or reveal this information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
Other than to employees within DSS with a need to know, government and law enforcement agencies providing a verified request relating to a criminal investigation or alleged illegal activity, or third parties presenting a subpoena, court order, or substantially similar legal procedure, logged information is not disclosed. Logs may be archived indefinitely, and may not be accessed, opted out, or changed by server users. DSS operates its servers in Canada and is subject to the laws thereof.
DSS does not currently use HTTP cookies, except as part of product demonstrations or convenience functions that you must initiate intentionally. Personal information is not required by any of these demonstrations, but anything that you provide may be logged. You must have cookies enabled on your computer for these demonstrations to work properly. In addition, JavaScript may be required for some demonstrations or site functions. This site does not use any other means of collecting information about you or your computer without your knowledge. This web site does not use third party cookies - cookies that originate from a site other than the one you are visiting.
